Tell Me What You See Challenge ~ 3

Hey Yall! This is the third installment of the Tell Me What You See Challenge! The purpose of the challenge is to get our creative juices flowing and hopefully see the world through someone else’s eyes (even if it’s just for a moment).

Here’s how it works! I post a picture like the one below and each of you simply write down what you see. It can be a story, a poem, or just an initial reaction. Just write something from YOUR point of view! You can leave it in the comment section of this post or you can email it me at mark.deer@gmail.com. In a week I will post all of the reactions to the picture and we can all get a look from someone else’s perspective!

I was traipsing through Flickr yesterday and ran across the wonderful picture above. It is form a wonderful photographer from Italy named Himitsuhana. She has a great collection of photography that pulls you into a little fantasy moment! I love them. You can view all of her pictures Here .

So now it’s your turn. Who is this girl? What’s going on in her life right now? What is she feeling? Just some thoughts! I can’t wait to see what you see!

  2. Mark, I made it! Sorry I waited 'til the last minute but you know me...lol!

This picture reminded me of how I feel sometimes. Like I'm stuck in limbo between the joy and simplicity of childhood yet reaching for the experiences of adulthood with bittersweet anticipation. It's like she wants to go but she's just not quite ready. You know what I mean?

I think she's frustrated that she has to choose. And wants to keep both. I know I do.

She can't decide so she'll stay there, surrounded by toys but taken captive by the nagging and demanding requirements of adulthood. Because it has come for her...like it comes for us all and this is what I'd like to tell her---"Cherish the memories. Keep a childlike spirit. But let go-it's time. And you'll find the rewards in due time."

  4. How am I suppose to play with these cars when I only have one piece of the race track left?? As I looked at the picture I had a few different ideas, but that was the first thing that popped into my head. Probable because I spent 2 hours playing with Dax and his car track - which he took apart 900 times and couldn't figure out why the cars didn't work as well on the carpet - Ha!! This was a fun game, I think you should do this abotu once a week!!
